Adoption Gone Wrong

My heart felt a great pain while reading this story. I attempted to grasp an understanding on why a person would rescue a child by adoption and then torture and starve them to death. With intense adoption laws and allegedly thorough screening processes that a person goes through to adopt a child that, like all children, want to be safe, loved and taken care of. I still am a firm believer that there is a positive lesson in any given situation.  This tragedy is an awakening that the adoption process needs to be evaluated and revamped for the sake of our children who are are future.
