I am So Excited!

I am so excited! I have finally chosen to take myself out of my comfort zone and going after one of my life dreams to become a blogger.

Even as a child I enjoyed writing poems, research papers etc.  I have a lot to share that I hope be helpful to at least one person.

My mother, my biggest fan always encouraged me to follow my dreams and not to fear to be different.  She embodied in my a world of diversified information from culture, traditional and non-traditional medicine, being humble when necessary and strong when I have to be...  Since she ascended (passed on) May 3, 2011, The life lessons, the value for all of humanity, embracing and understanding diversity I hold on to dearly and continue to evolve in a positive, loving way. I hold on to her strength to fight for what is right on all for all of humanity.  I do this not only for myself but for my children.  As a parent, I understand that I have an important role to not only for my children but for other people/children.  My mother always faithfully believed in the African proverb "It takes a village to raise a child."  In essence we as adults are constantly learning more about lives, our universe, our bodies etc like children.

With this said I thought it is appropriate for my first blog to have the poem I wrote for my mom when she ascended.  Even after her ascension, her life experiences, trials, tribulations, love, strength, and wisdom her contribution to the betterment of our world Will never be forgotten and we will continue to evolve to achieve unity with the promotion of love, humility, sharing and learning from others, and being positive.  Her legacy prevails through all of us even though she is no longer on this earthly realm.

For My Amazing Mother

A stylish queen has graced your realm with her mere presence
A V.I.P. mother that sacrificed all for her children with unconditional love
A committed loyal servant to Jehovah’s word
An everlasting footprint was left in the on lives you embraced
A Nana loved, respected, and adored by her grandchildren
A humanitarian that endured and fought to make a way for others
Although our hearts ache from missing you on earth
We take comfort in knowing that you have taken your ancestral seat
watching, loving, protecting and guiding us from above
without fear, boundaries, and most important agonizing pain
Annie Mitchell lives eternally with us in our hearts
and memories though out the generations
You are infinitely appreciated
Mom you will never be forgotten or forsaken
